RE: [RC] hair mineral analysis - Susan E. Garlinghouse, D.V.M.Ask the companies offering it and they say it's worthwhile. Check the peer-reviewed studies and they say utterly useless. My opinion is with the latter rather than former, except when looking for heavy metal deposits, such as lead, selenium, arsenic, etc. Otherwise, don't waste your money. My favorite study sent in multiple samples from the same horse and got back six different results. Coincidentally, they all were returned with recommendations of which of their products would fix the "problem". How does it compare to a blood test? I see Uckeke offers it for $119. per test. Is it worth it? Accuracy? Thank you!
