[RC] Solar light - Patti KuvikSee http://www.tackinthebox.com/stablewares/Habitat/ST220_200.htm I have one in my hay barn and one for my barn aisle. Everything comes on one box, quick to set up, has an on/off switch but no photo cell. Someone who knows what to to could probably put this together a lot cheaper but these were there when I needed them and still working well after 4+ years. The battery pack is replacable. Saw a solar "security light" at Home Depot with a photo cell but couldn't figure out how to wire in an on/off switch easily. What I really need is someone to tell me how to hook up my big solar panel to some batteries for good lighting/radio, etc for my barn - like what kind of lights to buy, what kind of wire to use, how to make a mounting bracket for the panel, some basic wiring diagrams. Is there a "basic, simple barn solar for dummies" book. Everything I've found gets so complicated - inverters and all that. I just want some good light at night and some tunes. Patti K Vail AZ From: Julie Fuller <natira121@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] Solar light Hi Guys, Do any of you use solar lighting for your barns or outbuildings? I have been looking for a light for a small shed. The light needs to be inside and I can mount a solar panel on the roof. I can't seem to find anything except the "stick in the ground" solar garden or pathway lights. It doesn't need to be a bright light.... say 20 to 30 watt equivalent. And it needs a light sensor to come on at night. Any of you smart people got any ideas?
