Wow, I bet he 'smelled' the right trail from the other horses passing by and that is why he wanted to turn off. . .

In spite of the unique ending that we had, I think this was probably one of the best 100 mile rides I have ever had, and certainly was one of the best rides I've had on Chief. He's really special. Even if he is missing a braid <g>.

Thanks Jackie, Brian, the vets and volunteers at this ride, you did a really good job. Looking forward to next year already!
