[RC] What do you prefer for rain gear during a ride? - sharon1359Once again, I am asking for the benefit of your collective years of experience... I've been drooling over one of those lovely full-length oilskin dusters, but before I make the purchase I would like to know whether it will be comfortable on a ride. If not, I can think of other wishlist items I could spend that money on!! I like the full-length oilskin idea because it would protect my saddle AND me. ;) (Plus it will breathe better than a PVC rain suit.) Our last ride in '03 was a torrential downpour and it pained me to see my new saddle get drenched. But if it will be too hot, or if it won't be truly waterproof, then I will ditch the idea! So....: Does anyone use an oilskin coat during a rainy ride? If so, within what range of temperatures is it comfortable, and did you find it to be truly waterPROOF? If you don't use one, what type of rain gear do you prefer? Thanks!! -Sharon Kenney & Zephyr's Elegant Gift (who hates rain even more than his mum...
