Re[2]: [RC] Daily Wormer - Roger RittenhouseEd MY 'other one rat' test case , is a mare - who had a problem in the early 90's with mild colic and some metabolic issues at rides. Nothing big but a problem. When the Pfizer Strongid- D came out my vet recommended it since the major user of the wormer were the TB race horses. Had to buy it from the vet in those days. She never had another colic issue - WHEN I kept her on the wormer. I took her off of it one year - due to all the 'scary stuff' and sure enough she got a mild case of colic at a CTR ride. Put her back on it that week - no more problems. Has been on it for about 10 yrs. Our oldest is 31/32 and has been on it since it was released. So I guess I have more then a few rats study? Roger EWH> I have been following the daily wormer thread with some interest as I have EWH> Ranger on it at the advice of my vet. He had had a few very mild colics and EWH> then had a bad colic at a ride. The vet suggested that daily wormer might EWH> help. In the last 2 years he has had no colics. Is it the wormer? I have EWH> no idea, but am continuing this horse on it, but I am not putting the rest EWH> of the herd on daily.
