Re: [RC] Hypothesis: Mares - DreamWeaverGuess I should have worded it more like "many of the horses on this list don't have a lot of experience", (tho, some do) rather than making it sound like I was only referring to the non-arabs. I don't think that anybody should ever assume that their horse can't die at or following ride because of whatever reason (especially any kind of statistics). I think that new riders need to be especially cautious, and as they learn continue to be cautious, and it doesn't hurt to pay a little closer attention to a horse of whatever breed or type that may be less suited to such a demanding athletic endeavor. KarenP.S. I have another quote :-) A good rider can hear his horse speak to him. A great rider can hear his horse whisper. But a bad rider won't hear his horse even if it screams at him! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
