This whole issue can't be
totally laid to rest until some poor PhD candidate takes this on. Until a
careful long term study is set up, with all the variables, one could not say
wether mares, geld or stallions are the best at taking care of themselves, or if
the people who like mares are the type of people who tend to listen to their
horses more.......or might just have more time to get to the rides........Looks
like a UC davis issue or a Penn State/ New Bolton center issue to me. Any
takers?
