Unfortunately (for me) they don't adopt west of Kansas. There's an organization called Greener Pastures associated with Frazier Downs in B.C., but I was unable to find out much about their adoption program. The Maine Standardbredbred organization has adoptions at www.pshomaine.net. On one of the Standardbred sites, there's a list of adoption groups, one in Northern California, but when I checked their website, there didn't seem to be anything as organized as the groups in the East. You will find Standardbreds listed on Dream Horse. There were several in California, Oregon and Washington.
