I have a 23 foot box with the 8 foot overhang. My friend has the same size trailer and has knocked out his back window three times. The only problem is turning when you have a short bed pickup. For the thing to ride and tow right you have to put the hitch a little forward. If you are careful about tight turns you are okay. Maybe I read it wrong but I can't see what the wideness has to do with anything. My trailer is 8 feet inside and has little tiny fenders but you can fit any horse in there really comfortably......mb
