Re: [RC] Fitness - heidiI am not an endurance rider (yet). One of the reasons is because I work full-time and have to care for the horses after work, leaving no time to ride except on weekends. How does the working endurance rider keep a horse fit enough for LD rides? By riding in the wee hours of the morning, or after dark. Many endurance riders juggle full-time jobs, families, and care of multiple horses. (Now working full-time here, no family, but 50 horses...) It comes down to streamlining one's schedule, looking for areas of wasted time and figuring out ways to make those chores more time-efficient, and yes, sometimes riding in the dark...
