[RC] Angry in Idaho - CMNewell
I suspect that the safest course if one were being shot at would be to kick on and leave quickly. Certainly, packing iron and trying to drill your attacker from the back of a horse is going to be more hazardous, if only because continuing to linger there within range presents a better target. This is even supposing that the horse is broke to mounted shooting, which her horse may well not be, so that could be an additional source of personal damage--being flung to the ground when the animal spooks from the noise of a pistol. I doubt most of the posters here are sufficiently skilled at pistol shooting to reliably hit a target from the back of a horse, even one standing *relatively* still. I think you've been watching too many movies... --CMNewell =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
