I finally crawled out to see what it was, and at the trailer next to us they had moved their mule from their side (where they were sleeping in a tent) to the side near me, and the mule was tied to the trailer with a chain and his bucket was also chained to the trailer. Clearly he'd been keeping them up with his chain rattling & banging, so they moved him to keep me up instead. :) Seriously, I'm sure it was NOT done to annoy me, and if I was not a light sleeper/insomniac it probably wouldn't have mattered all that much. As it was, I still found it funny.
