Re: [RC] loose dogs mean Howard wins the ride - Truman PrevattSo Jonni,Let me see if have it right. The people that show up and toss their dogs out for other people to feed are rabid barefoot racing LDers that come gunning for Howard and have been know to throw their easy boots at the competition as they pass then in dangerous narrow sections of trail as they are running hell bent for leather over rocks chasing down Howard. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Got all the hot button sterotypes in the one post. Truman Jonni Jewell wrote: I have thought that riders who show up with a dog, should be issued a little tag, for their dog to wear at the ride, that has a number on it, that is the same as the rider number. Any...wait ANY loose dog, will be caught, and put in doggie jail. The rider will be notified, and they MUST pay a fine to get their dog out. Make it hefty...$50. All money donated to a local animal shelter. It takes a person willing to do this, and an empty horse trailer to act as the dog pound. These people claim they love to have the companionship of their dog along with them at the ride, but then they turn them loose, and don't pay any attention to them all weekend! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
