RE: [RC] cold feet and hands - Jim Holland

Title: Message

If you wear a helmet, the VERY BEST item to keep your head/ears/neck warm is the “Cozy Cover”.  It’s fleece, fits OVER your helmet, so you don’t have to adjust anything. Creates a nice warm air pocket for your head and ears without any impact on how you wear your helmet.  It fastens with VELCRO under the chin, so you can loosen it as the day warms up, and easily take it off. Compresses to almost nothing.  I think everyone I have ever shown it to has bought one. Great for those frosty morning ride starts.

Add a high neck fleece jacket and you’re good to go!

If you go to a ski shop you can get a polar fleece neck warmer that has a "baklava-style" attachment that is thin enough to fit under your helmet..they are about $25. I pull mine out of my ski bag every time I ride in the cold..really keeps your ears warm..I also like silk underwear...

lori,  did you have a hat on?  if not, put one on, and a scarf around your neck.   if you dont, all the "heat" goes out the "chimney".      ed
