Thank you-I was trying to find it and couldn't. I apologize for the
misread....
I DO still want to encourage all of you who have adopted Mustangs to use
any public horse forum to post what it was that made you choose the horse you
did...and why it was a good choice. I think I've heard more about it on
ridecamp than anywhere else, and I praise you for doing it, and I appreciate the
info you share. Your tips are good to keep in mind when looking at ANY
horse, but they may even help get folks to look beyond color (yea!).
Thanks again!
From an
earlier post... --Please also note that the ruling is also states "3
adoptions AND over 10 years of age...."--
As stated in this
bill... "(1) In General. - Any excess animal or the remains of any
excessanimal shall be sold if -"(A) the excess animal is more than ten years
of age; or"(B) the excess animal has been offered unsuccessfully for
adoptionat least three times.
Note that the ruling states over 10
years of age OR if the animal has been to adoption at least 3 times.
Meaning that young, healthy horses will potentially go to slaughter too - lots
of them. That's the part that is most disturbing to me.
