Just to give an idea of how nuts it can get in any ride, Sun and I got
blasted past one time at the two mile mark in a NATRC ride.  What really
confused me was that Sun and I were hanging out at the two mile mark because
we were early and in front of everyone else.  We were hanging out because if
you come in before the cutoff in a CTR, you lose points.

I think some people just blast by because they like to do that.

Anway, the ideal thing in a situation like that is to have a horse that, no
matter how crazed by the situation, still thinks that he should not leave
without you in the saddle.
