I found that the best answer was putting youreslf and your horse in the hands of a capable professional. I both couldn't afford to do it and couldn't afford not to do it. Karen, you and Mazzie have been going thru this discovery process for quite awhile. You must be very frustrated by now. We have the same problem. Sounds like we have the same horse. Wide shoulders, no withers, wide flat backed morgan mare. It's time to seek out someone professional. I recommended you try Synergist a year ago because it sounded like you wanted a well made well fitting english type saddle. I think I saw one in the classifieds recently with an extra wide tree. I think it was a DSS model. These saddles are very wide and very roomy in the spinal channel. Wonderful. I can only say that after my first year of competing in it, we are even more satisfied with how we spent the saddle money. This is the only saddle I've ever had on my horse which stayed where I put it. Last and maybe best you'll feel incredibly well balanced from the first ride, there is no breaking in or getting used to it.
