[RC] 2005 Equi-Fair, April 9 and 10, 2005, Grants Pass, OR - Sue Riegel WilliamsA coalition of horse clubs in the Rogue Valley is sponsoring a weekend of educational activities to promote equine interests, similar to the Equi-Fest in California. Location is the fairgrounds in Grants Pass, OR, two days - April 9 and 10.
There will be a day devoted to breed promotion, with anywhere from 30 minutes to one full hour of an individual breed's presentation in the main covered arena. So far, draft horses and FAQHA have scheduled presentation times.
There will also be a stallion parade in the Saturday evening events along with demonstrations of driving, jumping and dressage.
Other events being scheduled include: a farrier competition, demonstration corrals for training (clicker methods, etc.), a buffalo cutting contest, and a packing demonstration. More activities and booths are being added. In addition, special educational seminars are planned: veterinarian speakers on equine nutrition, treating leg injuries, and equine reproduction.
If you're interested in promoting your ranch, your riding or endurance club, this sure would be a great way to publicize as this promises to be a very successful event. Advertising rates are very reasonable, with a business card (in color) ad at just $20. Full page color, half-page color, and quarter-page color ad space is also available.
