I live in a very dry climate - that might account for why the pulp sheds did take 10-15 minutes to totally soften. Again, that could be why mine were so very dusty. I used them for about a year before getting fed up with the dust and the fact that shreds are not as easy to scoop as pellets are.


I've tried to get my feed store to order pellets without molasses, but price and all the customers combined wishes dictate what they will buy, not the request of one customer. I am not, however, concerned about the relatively small amount of molasses that my horses ingest with the pellets.
