[RC] black TW - Amy MartinI am considering purchasing a young black tennessee walker for CTR and limited distance endurance in Texas. She currently sweats well and does not pant. Is distance riding in the Texas heat and humidity too much to ask of a black horse? Especially a black non Arab? Panting would be a problem in CTRs. I like the mare but am worried as my little black driving pony had to be retired due to anhydrosis he developed here but don't know if that was just him or the color. My vet thinks black horses have more trouble in the heat. Thanks, Amy =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
