RE: [RC] about tucker saddles - Nancy Sturm

Hi Lori:

I ride a Tucker equitation endurance saddle - have done a couple of  slow LD's and miles and  miles of conditioning rides in it.

I was riding my converted driving horse  of unknown breeding- probably actually a large pony cross , and he had gotten where he didn't want to climb and really wasn't going forward very willingly.

I borrowed a friend's Tucker equitation endurance and had myself a new horse so I bought a nearly new Tucker that was advertised on endurance.net by a woman in New York.  Up until then I had ridden for nearly 30 years on the same Stuben Seigfried (sp?).  It didn't get retired, however.  Our grandson is using it now.

Do any here ride in Tuckers for endurance or just casual riding (western type), or do you find them too heavy?  If you do use one for endurance which type, and do you like it?
