Because the "To Finish Is To Win" championship was the Les/Trilby race
for real.  You know, the TB industry just votes for "Horse of the Year".
I wouldn't mind seeing something like that...maybe not in place of
championships, but sometimes just putting down on paper what a horse has
done that year can say a lot. And then there's the Heisman (sp?)
trophy...simply looking at the record and rewarding excellence over the
course of the year, not on one given day...sports writers I believe vote
don't they? Hmm, what could be our equivalent and would they vote for
their home-town (region) heros or be unbiased?
