My Icelandic Jenni had a resting pulse of 26 but it did not translate into a good working pulse. His trot was always in the high 130's...and even his walk was at 100. As long as it isn't over 44 I wouldn't rule out a horse as a prospect. JMLE. My Morgan has a resting of 36 and she walks out at 68...trots at 110. My arab resting is at 42, walks in the 50's 60's and trots in the 90's...so go figure.
