[RC] Handling the Horse & Shoes - KellyThank you everyone for all the advice.. I have been working on my mares legs and she is doing much better. As of last night I was able to brush both rear legs with a soft face brush. I am able to rub my hands down both legs also. She still often wants to pick up her right side leg on occasions, but we are still working on that. I am able to lift the legs but I have not started to stretch them out yet. I think if I work on that almost everyday she will improve in these areas. I will also practice these things with family and friends. The stranger aspect. I will have to try messing with her gums. This I have not heard of but need to keep that in mind. Apparently she has been twitched in the past and has possibly been given many "bad medicines" by the mouth and is not fond of having her mouth messed with. We are working on this item too. Any ideas or advice in this area? Good advice on the hooves. I am not sure how "tough" her hooves are yet and she may require protection. She has white hooves. Has anyone heard the saying that white hooves are more brittle? Is this saying true or false? Thanks everyone!! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
