Grain them in the horse trailer. When you
know you are going somewhere, don't grain them until you are ready to load and
go. Feed them in trailer when they are not going anywhere.
Had a mare a few yrs ago that had to tranquilzed to
load to bring home. Took 9 days of no grain until she loaded.
