Re: [RC] GPS - Garmin Forerunner 201 VS Timex Bodylink - Kristen A Fisher

One of the great things about the Forerunner is that it is one piece, not 2. Very helpful, esp. once you add a HRM to your arm, etc.

Even in clear open skies the GPS has its limitations; sometimes because of the ways trails double back it can read short. The good ting is, you get to the VC before you think you will!

Subject: [RC] GPS - Garmin Forerunner 201 VS Timex Bodylink

I was going to order the Forerunner today and in checking for a best price came across a C-NET review which indicated if you're using it under the trees, you won't get accurate results and the Timex Ironman Triathlon Bodylink was recommended instead. Does anyone use the Timex? I found it for $175 (speed & distance only model), quite a bit more than the forerunner, but if it will work under the trees, then it may be worth the price. Let me know what you think. The family's getting it for my birthday which is coming right up. Of course, my hubby & son plan on sharing it for the biking as well.(:>)
