I do have the Timex Ironman with GPS, and it's fun to watch the readout. I can tell how far we've gone, what our average speed was,, current speed, etc. But I also get a "low signal" message when we pass under trees, so I don't imagine it's any more accurate than any other GPS.
Subject: [RC] GPS - Garmin Forerunner 201 VS Timex Bodylink
I was going to order the Forerunner today and in checking for a best price came across a C-NET review which indicated if you're using it under the trees, you won't get accurate results and the Timex Ironman Triathlon Bodylink was recommended instead. Does anyone use the Timex? I found it for $175 (speed & distance only model), quite a bit more than the forerunner, but if it will work under the trees, then it may be worth the price. Let me know what you think. The family's getting it for my birthday which is coming right up. Of course, my hubby & son plan on sharing it for the biking as well.(:>)
