Re: [RC] Dare to go bare! - Mike & Kathy KellyMy understanding is that since a horse carries most of his weight (I've heard 60%) on his fronts, that they will wear faster. I would expect that traveling uphill would cause the hinds to wear more than they would traveling on flat ground. I'm no expert, tho, and would like to hear from others? I agree that a horse who doesn't use his hind quarters well would wear even more on the front. Kathy I would expect just the opposite, if a horse was using his hind quarters efficiently/effectively, the hinds would wear more quickly. A horse heavy on the forehand should wear the fronts more quickly. Is this a correct assumption? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
