[RC] Ariat Terrains "Stickey" - Patti Kuvik

I'm just starting back riding after eight years or so. I'm finding the
combination of my Ariat Terrains (well worn from doing chores in them) and
the EZ-ride stirrup pads are "sticky" and my foot tends to get hung up when
dismounting. I can kick out of the stirrups easily when up, so it's not the
width. With my old body and one of my horses a bit on the spooky side, I'd
prefer not to have to kick out of stirrups and slide down to dismount, and a
main concern is maybe getting hung up in an emergency. No problem if I'm
wearing paddocks, but I'd like to ride in my Terrains (which are OK with the
leather covered stirrups on my western saddle).

Have others encountered this? Ideas? I have thought of duct taping around
the pads to make them less sticky. Are there replacement stirrup pads that
are harder/slicker (these are kind of spongey)?

Thanks,
Patti Kuvik
