i agree with becky about these colic episodes. these horses just arent getting enough to drink. i notice the same thing about me. i work outside just about all the time. since the cooler days have started, i am not drinking nearly as much fluids as i was a couple of weeks back when it was a lot hotter. but i probably should be. same with the horses. cooler weather effectively masks the level of exertion, and they dont drink as much, may not eat as much either.
i also agree with jim about bermuda hay. i feed it a lot (when i feed hay). i have 24 horses and could count colic episodes in the last five years on one hand. ed
