[RC] Length of frog/NBS protocols/pastern angle - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

 The NBS protocol will over time RESULT in huge healthy frogs that come 2/3 or
3/4 of the way to the toe.BUT THIS TAKES A LONG TIME,about a year's worth of
shoeing cycles.The farrier cannot trim the hoofs into this configuration in a
single shoeing."Normal" shoeing "to the pastern angle" is the cause of the long
toe/shrunken frog,no heels syndrome. The problem is finding a farrier who will
willingly study and follow the NBS trim protocols. (Farriers are among the few
businessmen who are operating in a seller's market.More power to them,but if an
auto mechanic had the same approach to information and new things that most
farriers have,they'd go out of business!)
