Just wanted to share that my wonderful endurance horse, CBS Redman, is a Bask great grandson. Port Bask is the grandsire. Redman's dam side is Al Marah breeding, most notably Count Fast as the other grandsire. Redman is 22 years old now and retired, but he had a fantastic, record-breaking 11 year career.
For a big horse (15' 2") he was very sound until his last few years when the wear and tear began to show. His recoveries were phenomenal; his feet were big; his bone is substantial; his will to win was unbelievable. I bought him as a rangy 5 year old and didn't race him until he turned 7. If you want a long term prospect, take your time now and watch it pay dividends for many years. Have fun and good luck!
