[RC] Non articular high ringbone - Mel Copeland

It appears that my 21 year old mare that I have been hoping to wet my feet with has non articular high ringbone. She is not lame, but she does have a big bony knot on the outside of her pastern. Should I keep working her and keep a close close eye for lameness? Do any of you have horses with this condition that are sound for LD? Should I give up on her and start working my backup horse? I really am nervous about riding the other horse as she has some real issues and I don't trust riding her solo.
This has really rained on my parade!
