Here in Kansas, I start dressing my horses up in blaze orange tack, saddle pads, etc this time of year and I wear a blaze orange vest. I also put speed beeds around my horses's neck, figuring at least they'll hear us! Deer don't jingle, LOL (except Rudolph). Our deer rifle season doesn't start til late November, but the hunters are out now for woodland birds and it's archery season for deer. I'm sorry if I scare the wildlife away with our jingle beads, but if it keeps us from getting shot, it's worth it.. lord knows how much a gray Arabian looks like a deer or a quail, LOL... We are lucky here in that during deer season there is a 7 mile trail at the state park in an area off limits to deer hunters. Unfortunately, the rest of the 23 miles of trail is in hunting territory.
