RE: [RC] [RC] Noisy Ponderosa Trailer - David LeBlanc

There's a lot of rattles to those. What we did to quiet it down a bit was wrap the pegs for the front section's divider, and then bungee that to the front.

I think that particular fix cost oh, about $0.89. With a bit of ingenuity and a little weatherstripping, I think you can get it down to a dull roar for under $20.

Our's has seen a lot of miles and is close to 6 years old - it still does pretty well. And the total cost was a lot less than the depreciation on the Featherlite (the one with LQ that goes to rides) hit me for once I drove off the lot with it.

How about a more expensive trailer?  By the time you
try to fix these types of issues, it might have been a
better idea to lay out the money upfront for a well
built trailer.  Economy trailers have their place as long
as you and your horse are willing to put up with their
short commings.

Of course I haven't been able to bring myself to buy a
Ponderosa myself, and I haven't been able to afford
what I want to buy... yet... and thus I find myself
without a trailer.  So there is that.  :)  :)  :)
Much luck,
