Does the BM Sport Saddle measure the same size as a regular western saddle? Measuring from the back of the pommel to the top inside rim of the cantle?
I ordered one last week and am waiting for it to come in 8-12 weeks. I measured my thigh and looked at the chart to see what size I would order, but it puts me in a much larger seat (16 1/2") than my western saddle (15 1/2")
Someone is selling a used one on Ebay so I asked them to send me a photo of the saddle with a measuring tape from the pommel to the cantle. The saddle is suppose to be a 16" but if I was going to measure it the same way I would measure my western saddle it would be a 20" instead of a 16", measuring from the pommel to the inside top rim of the cantle.
If indeed it is not measured the same as a regular western saddle..............why not? Doesn't your butt sit in the same spot as it would in a regular western saddle? LOL
