Re: [RC] cinch irritation - heidiSo I may switch to wool pronto...guess nothing wrong with having backup wool cinch...darn because I liked how clean neoprene is, doesn;'t get soaked with sweat, etc.... Hubby is likewise a big neoprene fan--and he was the one riding the horse that reacted so quickly to it. And since he IS such a neoprene fan, he blamed himself for not getting the horse clean enough, and rode again--which is why he got a second ride with it and had such AWFUL sores. (And these were only 5-8 mile training rides, to boot!) He still grumbles over the woolback girths, but the horse is doing great... <g> (Ironic that he had to ride both of the horses with the neoprene allergy at some point...) Horses that don't react to it sure do just fine with it, though--hubby has ridden several of our others in neoprene girths with nary a problem.
