I've done most years. It is one of the best rides you will find
anywhere. The trails here are absolutely magnificent. If the concept of
sustainable trails wasn't developed here it was well honed here. Some
long climbs. There are some rocks and there is a lot of sandstone. I
did it once without pads and finished but I would reccomend pads - at
least for the 50.
The only thing you need to be aware of is the chiggers. This part of
the country has a lot of chiggers so make sure you come prepared.
