Also, what about the preferences of the riders?  Very few riders
have posted that they actually *prefer* shorter horses...


Put me in that list.  I prefer sub-15 hands.  I have a couple that
are 15 - 15.2ish, and they're almost "too big" for me.  Of course,
they have the substance to go with the height, they aren't all leg
(one does have quite a bit of leg, but is also a big bodied horse).
My 14.1 - 14.2 horses are perfect. :)
