Re: [RC] waterproofing boots & pants - Becky RohwerI am not too sure about pants, but this is what I do for my riding boots and it works well. My boots are all leather. Every once in awhile I clean them with saddle soap and water. I let them dry well, usually about 24 hours, then I put a good coating of mink oil on them and let that soak in for another 24 hours. I might do that a couple times a year, once in the spring and maybe later in the season if the boots are getting really dirty or have been exposed to a lot of water or rain.
