Christina, it depends on the horse. Most
appys get great pulse and respiration readings because they relax so well.
You do the work, your appy will be fine. Keep a record of each day of work
and the recovery. That will tell you when you can do more or when you can
go faster or do both.
As for the great trailering incident? the
more you take the horse, the more he does when you are camping, the more he will
be happy to be in his pen. My horses are really funny on camping
trips. They love to go, they love to stick their nose in the trailer where
the grain is, they talk to me all the time. They hate being the one left
