Take your entire budget and spend it on first: the best farrier available, 2nd, a properly fitting saddle, and third, riding lessons...then ride and ride. Your money will do more good there than in all the powders, elixers, injections, etc. etc. I'd say "Hear, hear!" but you actually missed the first and most important step--FIRST, select a horse that is suited to the sport!
