Re: [RC] Spooky Horses - Chris PausSo true. there are some horses who will calm somewhat, but they will never be beginner's horses. My endurance horse is that way. He's 17 and still full of fire. He's calmer with me because we've reached an understanding, but he'll never be an appropriate horse for beginners. I think waaaaayyy too many people buy horses who are just a wrong match. And just to balance - that I ride a nice Arab gelding who is convinced squirrels are killers and my calm approach has not convinced him that they are not. One day I sort of said "sheesh" and he about jumped out of his skin.
