Re: [RC] Jiggy on the Trail - Update - darste3"So, the only thing I can think of is, it must be the "herd" mentality... she bonds with whomever we are riding with, and suddenly it is more important to stay WITH the herd than to listen to me? " So, here's the thing. You can use what she wants as a reward fo calm behavior. In this case, she wants to be with the herd. But, if she jigs, she's asking you to leave the herd. When she walks flat again, she may have the opportunity to re-join the herd. It takes a lot of work. But, I know you can do it. I used this to teach my stallion that if he wants to be with other horses, he is responsible for keeping 6 feet away from any other horse's body parts. You'll be amazed at how fast they figure this out. Dolores =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
