Re: [RC] Boa vs. Old Mac - Mike & Kathy KellyI haven't used the new Boa but here's what I know.......the Old Macs have a thicker bottom, and if you get the right size they don't come off. I have been using them for 3 yrs and many hundreds of miles (including 3 50 mile rides) and haven't ever had one come off. They are very easy to put on and off. Good luck, Kathy Kelly Parks AZ We have an older horse who is having hoof and joint problems in his old age. Our farrier has suggested not shoeing him but using Old Macs for the few times when he is ridden. She likes them because they are padded. Would the new Boa Boot be a better option? Are they padded? Are they easier or harder to put on than the Old Macs? I have used EZ boots but am not familiar with these other two. Thanks of the help. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
