Re: [RC] [RC] Gold Country Awards - terry banisterYes. It is all in the interpretation and perception of the recipient! The ride manager IS conforming to the "AERC rule" and giving a completion award to those who completed. - She is also giving a crewing award, a consolation prize, a ride memento, a participation award and an advertising display if she chooses to sell the leftovers. It MAY or may not BE the SAME ITEM for each/all! I know I have received one or more in each category from different rides, and in retrospect, I enjoy seeing/using them because I still paid, worked and partipated, but frequently, don't remember which was which. So I don't really seem to care WHY I got it. However, what DOES seem to MATTER to me is whether we got AERC credit for those MILES. If I participated in any way, and did not get any mileage for it, then my gut reacts.
