[RC] trailer shopping and questions - Chris Paushttp://www.dhmco.com/dixieTrailRider.htm Here's a link to a trailer I'm pretty sure I want even though it's halfway across the country from me. Road Trip! Haven't done one of those for years just for fun. It looks like a good buy for the money and has what I need. I do NOT want a big old honking BAT. I've seen too many friends have issues with parking them, hauling them and driving over rough ground with them. I figure I need just enough comfort, but don't need all the bells and whistles that a trailer can have. It doesn't have a bathroom, but I can put in a camping toilet and already have the sun shower. I've got coleman cooking stuff. I want something small and maneuverable, safe for the horses and a comfy place for me to crash. I already have a big truck to pull it with (Dodge Ram V-10) and have the gooseneck hitch in the truck. This Dixie Trail Rider is made by Bee Trailers, a southern company, I believe. I've heard good things from other "Bee" owners about the durability of their trailers. So, before I plunk down my money, what questions should I ask? Has anyone heard of this dealer? Has anyone bought one of these? Thoughts good and bad appreciated. If you have something really disparaging to say, please email me privately. No point in setting yourself or Ridecamp up for a slander lawsuit. chris ===== "A good horse makes short miles," George Eliot Chris and Star BayRab Acres http://pages.prodigy.net/paus =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
