Please be careful with SMZ and giving
antibiotics. I had two horses colic from SMZ pills, and both did not
survive. An antibiotic not only kills the bad bacteria, it also kills the
good bacteria, which may include the bacteria that helps a horse digest its
food.
SMZ is also a human antibiotic used for
respiratory infections.
