[RC] man vs. horse - mkrumlawI can't remember the year (97-98ish?)... I was riding (or attempting as it turns out) in the Vermont 100 and got pulled later in the ride. I got trailer back just in time to watch the front runners finish. We were standing there watching two headlights in the woods battle it out the last 1/4 mile for the win. As we were speculating as to which of the two front runners where going to win it two RUNNERS came out of the trail and down the hill for the finish! The riders finished about 20 or 30 minutes later! But...the riders did have an hour head start if I remember correctly, and the runners don't have the vet checks/holds.
