Of course you didn't say it - you quoted it (double quote line) Bob
Morris said it. I didn't want the post to be too long.
BTW there are many great teachers that teach after during and after a
career of "doing." In art the name Michelangelo comes to mind.
In athletics, many times the people with the best aptitude to teach
don't have the physical ability or the luck to have been at the top of
the sport. But that doesn't diminish their abilities as a coach, teach
or advise. Most of the best coaches in sports are not the guys that
were the best or even good players in thier sport. Very few great
athletes make good coaches or teachers.
Remember, some of the best coaches in sports never excelled
in their sport but did have extremely good analytical minds
Somebody messed up on their clips. I didn't write any of that. Being a
teacher my quote would be:
Those who can; do
Those who can't; teach
Those who can't teach; teach teachers,
And those who can't teach teachers are in administration.

We
imitate our masters
only because we are not yet masters ourselves, and only
because
in doing so we
learn the truth about what cannot be imitated.
